🎞️ Zion Animation Setup & Diagnostics

What's New in 1.1 · Version 1.1.0 · Unity 6 Editor Tool

Version 1.1.0

Animation Diagnostics 1.1 removes the main selection bottleneck from the original release. Zion still recommends clips conservatively, but you can now inspect every qualifying match or manually choose any selectable clip found in the scanned folders.

No project migration is required. Open the tool and scan your source folders again to use the new candidate browsers and clip totals.

Search every qualifying match

The Ranked animation control now opens a searchable browser containing every clip that passed Zion's role and confidence checks. The previous short dropdown limit no longer applies.

Search by:

  • Clip name.
  • Source pack.
  • Asset path.

Each result shows its match score, rig readiness, source pack and path. Selecting a different result clears the old compatibility result so the new clip must be tested.

Manually choose from all discovered clips

Use Search All N Clips when:

  • Zion found no confident suggestion.
  • A clip uses an unusual or abbreviated name.
  • The correct clip was rejected for the requested role because its name or folder contains contradictory evidence.
  • You already know the exact source asset you want.

The all-clips browser contains every discovered non-Legacy clip. A result outside the ranked suggestions is marked Manual. It can be selected, previewed, located and tested normally, but Zion does not claim that it fits the requested role.

A manual selection is an override, not an automatic recommendation. Confirm the complete motion in the final Clip Browser before approving the library.

Clearer scan totals

The Library Builder now separates the scan inventory into:

  • Discovered - every animation clip found in the selected folders.
  • Selectable - non-Legacy clips available to ranked or manual selection.
  • Legacy - clips counted for transparency but excluded from both candidate browsers.

This makes it easier to distinguish a naming mismatch from an import-format limitation.

Better source-pack identification

When one selected parent folder contains several child animation packs, Zion uses the first child folder as the source-pack label. Candidate rows are therefore easier to compare even when you scan a broad library root.

If you select several source folders directly, each selected folder remains its own source pack.

Saved profile selections

When a saved profile points to a valid clip outside the current ranked suggestions, 1.1 can restore that clip as a manual selection. Retest it after rescanning because source assets and import settings may have changed.

Behaviour that has not changed

  • Purchased source packs are never changed or deleted by searching.
  • Legacy clips are not treated as valid Humanoid candidates.
  • Generic-to-Humanoid conversion is attempted only on copied FBXs.
  • Manual and ranked selections use the same compatibility testing and curated-library build.
  • Automated scores and tests never replace visual approval on the target character.
